The outstanding sporting event in Northern Vietnam - Ba Be Jungle Marathon

With the aim for promoting the sport activities nationwide and even outside the country’s territory as well as developing sustainable tourism in Ba Be and support the local community, Mr Linh’s Adventures travel company decided to hold a large-scale marathon event called Ba Be Jungle Marathon 2021 (BJM 2021) in cooperation with Bac Kan Tourism Association under the sponsorship of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province. The event will be carried out on October 03rd 2021 in Ba Be National Park amid the golden hue of rice terrace fields and the emerald shade of the poetic Ba Be lake.

Just 250km Northeast of Hanoi, Ba Be National park has long acquired its reputation for being recognized as a unique Ramsar area on limestone mountain, the National Park of Biosphere Reserve, the ASEAN Heritage Park that home to many ethnic minority groups. Additionally, Ba Be lake is also renowned for being Vietnam’s biggest natural lake and one of the world’s top 20 most beautiful freshwater lakes that needs to be protected.

This unique super-off-road experience is divided into 4 different levels of difficulty (10km, 21km, 42km and 70km) that is set up among a wild jungle, passing through several traditional villages of ethnic people and limestone mountains surrounding Ba Be lake. Running along the trail, runners will have the opportunity to learn and exchange cultural values with different ethnic minority groups living underneath the primeval forest canopy around Ba Be lake, admire the majestic beauty of the evergreen forests and the shimmering jade of Ba Be lake. Let’s challenge yourself in conquering the great trails of Ba Be Jungle Marathon.

After the race, parts of the proceeds will go towards community development activities in Ba Be including support impoverished families, renovate schools and plant trees to recover the damaged hills within Ba Be National Park. We hope you will enjoy and have a great experience in the protected land being known as "The Gem of Northeastern mountains" while contributing to promoting sustainable development in this area.

In light of this big event, we will be running exclusive tours in combination with entrance tickets to the race. No doubt it will interest more than taking part in the race only!
