  • Day 1: Hanoi - Bac Ha (L/D)
    • Our tour guide will pick you up at 8:00 A.M from your hotel in Hanoi and take you along highway heading northeast towards Lao Cai. On the way we will stop at a few rest stops. At the end of the route, we drive towards Bac Ha, lunch at the town before we pay one hour to visit H’mong king’s palace of Hoang A Tuong and enjoy a walk on the trails behind the mountains. Dinner on and overnight in a lodge at Bac Ha.

      - A 7-10km trek.

  • Day 2: Bac Ha - Phung village trekking (B/L/D)
    • The road from Bac Ha to Phung village has many curves. After 3 hours of driving on the zigzag road and stopping at some villages, we have lunch at a local restaurant. After that, the driver dropp us off at the corner of the trails to hike to Phung village, these trails are very strenuous, from above we can see the fields and La Chi buffalo herds. The La Chi community is a very small ethnic minorities group in Vietnam who live in hiding in the border areas.

  • Day 3: Phung - Nam Hong trekking (B/L/D)
    • After waking up at the homestay and enjoying a home-cooked breakfast, we pack our bags for another adventure. Visit the villages of La Chi community, where the women has black teeth and bright smiles. They weave fabrics and hand-dye handicrafts, dry rice in the fields and work together to living on a traditional stilt house (three or four generations). After two hours of walking through the fields, we get in the car and move to Thong Nguyen, this place is known as the terraced rice plateau. Lunch at a local restaurant before trekking through villages and rice fields of Nam Hong. Tonight we take a rest at a Dao ethnic family.

      - A 10-12km trek.

  • Day 4: Nam Hong trekking - Hanoi (B/L)
    • For our final day we’ll share a last meal with our host family for breakfast, then we set out on a 3 hours trek off the beaten path to explore the many villages situated on high altitudes around Thong Nguyen. The path will carry us upwards for about half an hour before spilling out into scenes of lush forest, tea plantations, terraced rice fields and majestic mountain slopes. During our hike we will stop for lunch with another local family, and many encounters can be had with the locals along the path then get back in the van and travel back to Hanoi, stopping for rest sometimes. You’ll arrive back at your hotel in Hanoi in the early evening, when it will be time to say goodbye to your guide, driver and group.
