Phsar Nath, the central market
Particularly lively in the mornings and evenings, this is the beating heart of the city, with colorful stalls selling fruit, spices and local handicrafts.

Romcheik 5 Artspace
Formerly a modest studio, Romcheik 5 Artspace established itself in 2015 as a veritable gallery of contemporary Cambodian art. The space features a permanent collection of works by its four founders, all survivors of a difficult youth marked by exile and forced labor. Their striking creations, combining paintings, sculptures and installations, bear witness to their singular backgrounds and remarkable artistic talent.
The Governor's House
A magnificent colonial building, this former residence of French governors offers a glimpse of the luxury of the period (early 1900s): it houses a collection of antique furniture, old photographs and traditional costumes.
Good to know: Entrance is through a small gate on Rue 139, on the south side of the extensive gardens.
Wat Kor village
Just 2 km south of the city center, the village of Wat Kor is built around the eponymous pagoda. It's a charming place to explore, where picturesque bridges span the river, and the slender spires of Wat Kor gleam with a platinum glow.

Ponleu Selpak lighthouse
The internationally renowned Battambang circus acts as an art school, offering young Cambodians a wide range of artistic training.
