Located on the south coast of Vietnam, Nha Trang is situated in the province of Khanh Hoa. It is located about 400 km south of Hanoi and about 200 km north of Ho Chi Minh City.
How to get there from Hanoi
From Hanoi, there are several ways to get to Nha Trang. Flying is the fastest method. There are several daily flights between Hanoi and Nha Trang, which last about 2 hours each. Train or bus are other options, but they are slower and less comfortable.
From HCM-city, a flight to Nha Trang takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes.
When to visit Nha Trang
The dry season (November to April) is the best time to visit Nha Trang. The weather is sunny and the temperatures are pleasant. From May to October, there may be rain and thunderstorms.

• Bai Dai Beach
Long Beach, located 20 km south of Nha Trang, is a wild and secluded beach that offers stunning views of the bay. It is ideal for people looking for a quieter experience.
Other popular beaches in Nha Trang include Bai Truong Beach and Bai Dam Beach. In addition, Whale Island and Hon Mun Island both hide beautiful white sand beaches that are licked by cirstalline waters.

Nha Trang Bay is known for its clear waters and abundant marine life. It is an ideal destination for divers. Some of the most spectacular sites include:
• Hon Marine Park
This marine park is about 6 kilometers off Nha Trang. Clownfish, parrotfish, manta rays and sea turtles are part of its abundant marine life and colorful coral reefs.
• Whale Island (Hon Ong)
This island, located about 30 km south of Nha Trang, is famous for its white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and diverse marine fauna. Divers and snorkelers will find the perfect spot.
• Moray Beach
This beach, located about 20 km south of Nha Trang, is famous for its shallow sandy bottom and abundant marine life. Beginners in snorkeling will find this place ideal.
You can also dive in Nha Trang Bay on board diving boats if you are an experienced diver. Many diving companies in Nha Trang offer full day or half day diving excursions.

• Hon Mun Island is a marine national park located about 6 km off Nha Trang. It is famous for its abundant marine life and vibrant coral reefs. It is the perfect place for snorkeling and deep dives.
• Whale Island (Hon Ong): Located about 30 km south of Nha Trang, this island is famous for its white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and diverse marine life. Divers and snorkelers will find the perfect spot.
• Binh Ba Island: Located 40 km south of Nha Trang, this island is known for its karst caves, white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. It is a popular place for day trips.
• Diep Son Island: Located about 50 km south of Nha Trang, this island is popular for its mountainous views, tropical forests and secluded beaches. Nature lovers like to go there often.
• Hon Mieu Island: Located 10 km south of Nha Trang, this island is famous for its Cham temple, caves and beaches. It is a popular place for day trips.

• Po Nagar Cham Towers
It is a set of 8th century cham temples. On a hill overlooking the Cai River, this site is dedicated to the goddess Yan Po Nagar, who is the protective goddess of the kingdom of Champa. The Po Nagar Cham Towers, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008, is an important archaeological and cultural site that is also a popular pilgrimage site for Hindus from Vietnam and abroad.
• Long Son Buddhist Pagoda
Long Son, also known as Phat Trang (White Buddha) or Dang Long Tu, is a must-see destination when visiting Nha Trang! Located in the coastal town on Trai Thuy hill, it is a true architectural and spiritual wonder. Guinness World Records said it is home to Vietnam’s largest outdoor sitting Buddha. If the pagoda is an architectural treasure, the view it offers on the city of Nha Trang is worth climbing the 150 steps decorated with dragons that lead to the top of the hill where it is located.
• Alexander Yersin Museum
This space is dedicated to the life and studies of Dr Alexandre Yersin, a famous Swiss-French physician, bacteriologist and explorer who left an important mark on the history of Vietnam.
